NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) was a robotic mission that orbited the moon to gather detailed information about the structure and composition of the thin lunar atmosphere, and determine whether dust is lofted into the lunar sky. Since then it has progressed, although typically less than comparable terrestrial technologies. Swei y and Robert H. Nakamura z NASA’s Ames Research Center, Mo ett Field, CA 94035-1000 This paper presents the development of sun safe controllers which are designed to keep the spacecraft power positive and thermally balanced in the event an anomaly is detected.
