AWS ALB Ingress Controller for Kubernetes. As part of this process, you’ll add the target groups you created in 1.

Kubernetes Ingress is an API object that allows you manage external (or) internal HTTP[s] access to Kubernetes services running in a cluster.

In this case, our cluster name was eksworkshop-eksctl as apparent from the output. Edit the –cluster-name flag to be the real name of our Kubernetes (or) Amazon EKS cluster in your alb-ingress-controller.yaml file. Create Your ALB. Your first ALB configuration step is to create one target group for HTTP. Contribute to kubernetes-sigs/aws-alb-ingress-controller development by creating an account on GitHub. Amazon Elastic Load Balancing Application Load Balancer (ALB) is a popular AWS service that load balances incoming traffic at the application layer across multiple targets, such as Amazon EC2 instances, in a region.

For example, if you need to distribute application traffic across both AWS and on-premises resources, you can achieve this by registering all the resources to the same target group and associating the target group with a load balancer.

I’d like to give you an update about the ingress group feature for ALB Ingress Controller.
It’s still in alpha stage, please don’t use it in production environment.

Create Target Group. Create Target Groups. Edit the AWS ALB Ingress controller YAML to include the clusterName of the Kubernetes (or) Amazon EKS cluster.

I’m really appreciate if you can test it and give feedbacks on this feature.

Elastic Load Balancing offers ability to load balance across AWS and on-premises resources using the same load balancer. Use Amazon’s Wizard to create an Application Load Balancer.

Log into the Amazon AWS Console to get started.
